If there are any Catholic boys in our parishes of St. John the Evangelist, or Church of St. Mary, interested in receiving their religious awards please contact Fr. Canova. If interested in joining Cub or Boy Scouts ask Fr Canova for a Scout Leader who can help you find a Pack or Troop.

Cub Scout Pack 833, sponsored by the Elizabeth & Hanover Fire departments has openings for boys age 7 to 10 to join the Pack. Meetings are held in Elizabeth and also in Hanover and all boys from River Ridge School and the surrounding area are eligible to join. For more information visit the Pack 833 web site.
Boy Scout Troop 33 from Elizabeth holds meetings at First United Methodist Church in Elizabeth. Boys age 11 to 18 are eligible to join the troop. If interested contact Fr. Canova or any of the other Scouters in Elizabeth.
Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.
Venturing is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth, adult leaders, and organizations in their communities. Local community organizations establish a Venturing crew by matching their people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community. The result is a program of exciting and meaningful activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, develop leadership skills, and become good citizens.
